In 2022 over eight hundred people died from slips, trips and falls and more than four hundred THOUSAND were injured.
If you ask me, the single most irritating thing about fall protection is when you need it, and there is no good way to tie off. So you hook your harness to some conduit just in case safety Steve shows up.
That’s what I want to talk about today.

Because if you ask me, it’s about (freaking) time we spend some time, money and brain power on making some of these jobs safer. For example, {{insert sketchy job, for me it was working on the shear over the flume}}.
But that’s just my vote, I want this to be a discussion. To ask you, can you think of any other jobs where we should look at something better? We’ve got a shutdown coming up and figured now is as good as a time as ever.
